Salmon is an excellent source of protein and contains all the essential amino acids. Salmon is rich in minerals, vitamins A, D, B6 and B12 and also contains vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, which may assist in lowering the risk of heart disease. It’s also a great source of omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA and other natural fish oils.
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) has announced the winners of the 2019 Wave of Change Awards – celebrating the pioneering brands across Australia who are championing sustainable seafood. One of the MSC Oceania New Products of the Year is Safcol’s salmon range.
Safcol was awarded the MSC Oceania Products of the Year Award for their certified flavoured salmon range and MSC certified fish stock, showing how bands are putting sustainability front and centre when it comes to innovation.
